“SINTRA - THE UNFORGETTABLE TOWN” PRIVATE TOUR

This tour is dedicated almost exclusively to Sintra, as it is a village with so much to show to those who visit.
Sintra is like a book, the one we read and want to reread again, so much we enjoyed it. A book whose pages reveal legends, romanticism, history, mystery, and just like a book, which we read avidly because we want to know what goes on in history, so is our walk. Each step along the way reveals wonderful places, even breathtaking, and each time we move forward, we get more curious to know where to go, what will be revealed next. Green is the dominant color that fascinates us and surrounds everything around us. Surrounded by greenery, the monuments and other buildings share the beauty of the place. We want to show you what is most beautiful in Sintra, which is enveloped in this dreamlike atmosphere, and that, at the end of the day, you are sure that you will never forget this unique experience of having been in a magical town and one day will repeat again.

Tour Description

Pena Palace - formerly a Convent, was restored by D. Fernando II in the nineteenth century and became the summer residence. In various styles, it is considered one of the seven wonders of Portugal. This Palace was the favorite of Queen D. Amelia, wife of King D. Carlos I. It was here that a lunch was served to the retinue of King Edward VII of the United Kingdom, when he came to Portugal in 1903.
Are you curious about more about this Palace? So come visit with us, as there are many stories to tell.

Moorish Castle - how about climbing to the Moorish Castle? From here you can enjoy a beautiful landscape.
D. Fernando II, decided to undertake various works, creating places of contemplation, access roads and abundant vegetation.

Quinta da Regaleira - Also known as Monteiro dos Milhões Palace, nickname of the former owner, is a place that reflects in its architecture and in all the surrounding space, all symbols referring to his ideologies and interests. Here, the glorious past of Portugal from the height of the Discoveries is evoked, hence the neo-Manueline, gothic and classic styles. Also themes related to the Templars, alchemy and Freemasonry are present on this Palace.

Cabo da Roca - after leaving the magical environment of Sintra, we arrive at the westernmost point of mainland Portugal, as well as continental Europe, as evidenced by a tombstone in a pattern. In this place there are unique plant species.
Described in Luis Vaz de Camões's “Os Lusíadas” as the place “Where the land ends and the sea begins”.

Boca do Inferno - the name is due to the morphology of the rocks and the amazing crash of the waves in the place. Must see the landscape, especially the sunset.
